1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 April Saturdays 10am-4pm: April Showers! Regular admission. Usher in spring with activities at the NBM all month long! Learn all about the plants and animals that thrive as the temperatures begin to rise! Activities include art instruction, hands-on discovery tours, crafts, cooking and more! (Bilingual)

2 April Sunday 2pm: The Artist’s Perspective: On a Silver Platter. Free admission. Join artist Mathieu Léger for a talk on the exhibition On a Silver Platter at the New Brunswick Museum. Mathieu Léger is a multidisciplinary contemporary New Brunswick artist. He has participated in over 40 artist’s residencies and exhibited in New Brunswick, Canada, USA, and Europe. This exhibition examines themes of identity, cynicism, and sulking to look at humour in politics, cultural conflicts, and navel gazing art practices. The works have direct contact with spectators through humorous approaches within cultural and linguistic contexts. (Bilingual)

6, 13, 20, and 27 April Thursdays 6:30-8pm: Handmade at the NBM – Cross-stitch and Embroidery. Free in NBM Foyer. Learn how to create beautiful needlework designs this month at the NBM. Take part in group instruction or work on individual projects in the company of friends. Fee of $2 per project or bring your own supplies. Don’t miss out on these evenings of friendship and fun! Ages 14 to adult. (Bilingual)

8 April Saturday 10:30am – 12:00pm: NBM Archives Talk – Spring has Sprung: A Virtual Walk through the History and Natural History of Rockwood Park. Regular admission. Pre-register by 7 April 4pm at: 643-2349/1-888-268-9595. Explore the NBM’s Archives and unearth the history of one of North America’s largest urban parks. (In English)
NBM Archives are located at 277 Douglas Avenue in the NBM Collections and Research Centre.

8 April Saturday 12pm-4pm:
The Archives and Research Library will be open on this Saturday for general research from 12pm to 4pm in addition to their regular hours.
