Musée des Pionniers (Société Historique de Grande-Digue)

The Musée des Pionniers has the feel of a historical village with its 6 buildings and more than 3,000 artefacts. It includes a house (1842) that exemplifies Acadian architecture, a school (1870) with its original benches and chalk boards, a barn, a warehouse, a lighthouse, a commemorative chapel, a mural painting depicting the marshes of the 1900s, as well as an area reserved for the veterans. A wooden church (1835) that is still used for service is also nearby.
