Digital Collections Management Systems
In 2016, a group of 15 community museums in New Brunswick sought to migrate their data from Virtual Collections to CollectiveAccess. CollectiveAccess is a software for managing and publishing museum and archival collections. This project has grown to include over 34 museums in New Brunswick.
Participating museums receive: assistance in exporting their data, data conversion, a site visit, one-on-one training, and ongoing support. The service provides access to and usage of a CollectiveAccess database system. All members secure their participation in the program through an annual fee of $150.
For more information about CollectiveAccess or if you would like to participate in this program please email us at info@amnb.ca.
This project was funded [in part] by the Government of Canada, (Heritage Canada), and the Province of New Brunswick, (Tourism Heritage and Culture).
