Description

The Saint-Louis-de-Kent Picnic Grounds are a piece of public land with benches and a small garden on the corner of Saint-Louis-de-Kent's main streets, Principale Street and Cape Road.

Heritage Value

The Saint-Louis-de-Kent Picnic Grounds are recognized for their relationship to the village’s sense of community. These community picnics were one of the first gathering places in the local area. From around the 1870s to the mid-20th century, annual community picnics were held on the grounds. The event offered a place to communicate with other community members and perform leisurely activities.
