This Edwardian house was built in 1904 on Connell Street in Woodstock.

Heritage Value

The Hay House is recognized for its Edwardian architecture, as well as its inhabitants.

The house is a good example of Edwardian architecture, having a decorative veranda as well as a stained glass dormer which overlooks the Meduxnekeag River.

The Hay House was built in 1904 by Arthur Wilmot Hay. Hay lived here until his death in 1919, while his wife Annie Elizabeth Hay stayed until her own death 1954, after which their son Murray McLaren Hay inherited the house. M. M. Hay occupied the Hay House before dying in 1971.

A historical marker was placed outside the house by the Town of Woodstock
