Step into one of Eastern North America’s best-preserved 19th-century industrial sites at the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum in Sackville, New Brunswick. Built in 1838, the factory offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s horse-powered past and the craftsmanship that supported local communities for more than a century.
Visitors can explore original carriages, sleighs, tools, and more than 6,000 artifacts that tell the story of the Tantramar region’s transportation and industrial heritage. Designated as both a provincial and national historic site, the factory remained in operation until 1951 and was left largely untouched for decades before undergoing careful restoration.
Whether you are interested in local history, traditional craftsmanship, or New Brunswick’s industrial heritage, the Campbell Carriage Factory Museum offers a unique and authentic experience.
