Les Épaves de la Baie de St-Simon Inc was established in 2007 and became a registered non-profit company in 2009. The museum and archives are managed by a board of directors based in the Acadian Peninsula.
Our mission is one of research, as well as artifact, archival, and book acquisitions relating to the history of Sea Captain Antoine Charles-Denys of St Simon. This mission was born out of a desire to discover and to make known the local history of our region, and the legend of our celebrated Sea Captain, after whom our village is named. This history marks the final chapter of the Seven Years War, a conflict that brought France’s reign over America to an end.
