New Brunswick Railway Museum

People walking beside a train at the New Brunswick Railway Museum

Visit the New Brunswick Railway Museum and wander through our 5 buildings with their 6 full size rail cars and 3 locomotives to look back in time to glance at the so-called “good old days”. In addition our 5 plus acres is home to another 16 pieces of rolling stock plus a museum barn full of smaller artifacts to view including motor cars and velocipedes and a number of other interactive items from the past for children of all ages to enjoy by being able to touch and sit on, etc..

Enjoy a chance to sit in the historic railcar seats or stand where a “Tallow Pot” (fireman) would have while shovelling coal, or the “Hogger” / “Ballast Burner” (locomotive engineer) would sit as he guided his steam powered train down the tracks! This is a chance to learn more about how your predecessors took on the many tasks and railway jobs were done.

The New Brunswick Railway Museum concentrates on the guided ground transportation in New Brunswick and its role in the development of the Province.
