Step into New Brunswick’s Confederation History at the Steeves House Museum!

In 1812 Joseph Steeves, grandson of 1766 settlers, built this home. His son, William Henry Steeves, became a Father of Confederation and later a Canadian Senator. The house was later home to managers of the Gypsum Company; then in 1982, it became a museum, which contains thousands of enchanting artifacts.

Explore a 13-room Colonial mansion begun in 1812 and expanded by 1840, with 6,000 sq. ft. of beautifully furnished period rooms. Enjoy costumed guided tours, learn about Albert County genealogy, and relax in the lush gardens.
